DevOps Engineer

Who are we looking for?

RegCentric is a dynamic consulting and RegTech product company. We build and manage innovative, scalable and agile cloud-based solutions for the Financial Services industry. We are growing and looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic product engineering team. 

​

Key responsibilities will include

  • Developing and delivering Cloud-based solutions on AWS

  • Deploying automation in our CI/CD pipelines

  • Implementing Secure-by-design microservices solutions using a containerised architecture

​

Profile

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years as a certified cloud engineer

  • Supporting applications on AWS

  • Demonstrate hands on experience supporting containerised applications

  • Demonstrate hands on experience using Linux and/or Windows

  • Working knowledge of SQL and Databases (Postgres)

 

  • Successful attainment of AWS certification, in either AWS Sys Ops, AWS Developer or AWS Solution Architecture

 

  • Preferred – Experience in Cloud infrastructure automation tools

  • Preferred - Development of Continuous Integration build pipelines and management, e.g.: Jenkins

  • Proven experience with scripting languages, e.g.: Python & NodeJS

  • Desirable - Programming language experience, e.g.: Java and NodeJS

  • Desirable – knowledge of cluster management technologies, e.g.: EKS, ECS

Senior Data Engineer

We are a leading SaaS provider offering regulatory reporting solutions in Australia, focusing on APRA reporting for the banking, insurance, and superannuation sectors. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to our project implementations.

​

Role Overview: As a senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines that support our clients' regulatory reporting needs. You’ll work closely with our implementation and product teams to ensure seamless data integration and processing, driving efficiency and accuracy in reporting workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Python and related technologies.

  • Work with complex data sets to ensure accurate and timely data processing for APRA regulatory reporting.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, project, and client) to implement data solutions aligned with client needs.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security are maintained across all processes.

  • Optimize data models and workflows to improve performance and scalability.

  • Assist in troubleshooting data issues and providing ongoing support for data-related queries.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and managing ETL pipelines.

  • Proficiency in Python is essential, with demonstrated experience in data manipulation and analysis using libraries such as pandas and NumPy.

  • Experience in the banking, insurance, or superannuation industries, ideally with APRA regulatory reporting, is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, RDS).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with large-scale data infrastructure, including data lakes or warehouses, such as Databricks.

  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Prefect

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards in the financial sector.

Who are we looking for?

RegCentric is looking for dynamic, hands-on functional consultants to join our team. You have 5+ years of relevant project or program experience in Risk, Finance and/or Regulatory Reporting.

​

Profile

• Candidates should have relevant work experience within Risk, Finance or Regulatory Reporting either as business analyst, implementation consultant or project manager

• Possess strong knowledge of current and upcoming APRA regulations (APRA prudential and reporting standards, APRA EFS, IFRS9, IRRBB,…)

• Basic knowledge of SQL and data modelling skills

• Proven experience in successfully delivering technology solutions.

• You are a team player, but can focus on individual assignments independently when necessary

• You have a “can-do” attitude and take ownership of deliverables

• You are self-motivated and you thrive in a fast-paced environment

• You have strong analytical skills

• You can act as a bridge between business and IT

• Strong English written and oral communication skills

• You have experience with vendor technologies in the Finance/Risk/Regulatory Reporting space (Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, Moody’s Analytics, Axiom SL, SAS, QRM, Mysis,… )
